Here's my pretty nameless dragon. It needs clicks to grow up. Please help it.

Meanwhile, I'm 3/4th packed for Pennsic ... or maybe only half if you count all the stuff that I've forgotten.

Not me at all.
King's AdvisorYou scored 77% hardcore SCA! You may just be older than dirt, or a raving lunatic. You are about as involved as you could possibly be in the SCA. When you are at events you probably look like you just stepped out of a book. You're blood runs in kingdom colors, you are probably a peer, and your living room probably looks a lot like your campsite. You should probably get some help for your addiction, or see if someone will write a book about you.

I am currently working as a Storage Administrator at SSA (Social Security Administration) under contract with Lockheed Martin as a sub-contractor with CPSI (that's the company that pays me). Hopefully the wording makes sense... What I'm trying to figure out is, how do I put that in my resume? ( My thoughts under here )

Today, I get to go the post office to send vital papers to my little sweetie, do the laundry, try to unload some more books and--if theweather is decent, tomow the lawn. And pick up most of my printing, so that I can staple and collate. No word on _Whaleroad_ will be printed. But tomorrow, I'll start pulling down the stuff for Pennsic and seeing if the tent will stand up for another year after my "friend" did a number on it.

| Subject: | Mutant bugs in NJ |
| Security: | Public |
| Mood: | annoyed |
I would blame it in mosquitos but never actually saw the suckers that bit me on Friday. At friends for 4th of July in NJ(which was good and much needed) and towards the end it got wet and bugs came out but I never ever felt myself get bitten. Nothing felt, although others were being nipped at.
I thought I was safe, but Sat night when I got home I noticed I did have a few little spots on my leg. They were a little pink but no big deal, figured they would go away. WRONG!! Sunday one on my ankle annoyed me but I zapped it with stuff and it went away. What I didn't know is that the 2 on my left ankle/lower shin where just lying in wait until I figured they were OK.
What is it about mutant NJ bugs that they react on me days later!! I usually always react in 24 hours but NO, 2 of them didn't blow up until today and turn into itchy/puffy bites from hell. If I didn't know those 2 spots were there already I would be going nuts trying to figure it out, but no bites the last 2 days and these were already present bites. Actually they really kicked in tonight, so of course yes I scratched them. Felt great, I stoppeed while still a red dot and didn't destroy my skin and then slathered on Benadryl gel since I can't find the black salve(it is hiding again). Amusingly enough, looking at it does look like a HUGE spider got me...that or a vampire the way dots are positioned.
Oh, and to make it more annoying than simple ankle itching I also have 1 on my jaw that also didn't really swell until today. WTF?! NJ was the only place/time recently I was out with bugs at all and came home with a few spots. What are they being fed down there that they are mutant bugs that affect me days later?!

A cool shower, italian ice, and watching Deadliest Catch ( reality show about fisherman catching Opelia crab in the Bering Sea in the winter time - lots of ice!) next to Kendrick and Da Boyz.
Especially after a hot sticky and muggy day when energy level was in the pits.

| Security: | Public |
Harken all citizens of our realm, to a challenge issued by Her Royal Highness, Alethea Eastriding, who invites her loyal subjects to submit a design to be used upon her Royal Favors.
Surely there are no artists or artisans more puissant than those of the East! So it is that our most radiant Princess will entertain artistry suitable for a variety of media, including but not limited to embroidery, leather work, painting and beadwork.
Visual puns are welcomed, within reason, as are heraldic canting, or other innovative and readily executable designs, with an eye to medieval sensibilities.
Designs may be submitted as hard copy or via the internet as .jpg format. Entries must be submitted no later than 7/15/08, and must include the name, mundane name, contact information and permission for use by the entrant.*
For ease of entry Her Highness' arms are:
Azure, a fret within and conjoined to an orle argent.

The blue is heraldic, royal blue; argent may be rendered as either white or a pale silver-grey. Submit contest entries to:
SCA: Elysabeth Underhill Larissa Gordon 757 E. Main St (M207) Lansdale, PA 19446 laralu@gmail.com 215-514-7289 Fax number available upon request.

* I, (Mundane name), known in the SCA as (SCA name) do hereby give my permission for the artwork submitted, or any part of same, herein to be used for and by Her Royal Highness, Alethea Eastriding, as her royal favor and for purposes of her own desiring from this day forward.
Signed, (legal signature) (printed legal name) (contact information)
Please feel free to distribute to any lists you think are appropriate.

Kendrick did a stencil on the solar powered lights we bought either at Lowe's or Home Depot in Marinus colors. Dang it looks fine. He is now working on the other 4 lamps.

| Subject: | 3-Year Anniversary as a Musician |
| Security: | Public |
Three years ago today was my last day at the "day job". That's when I became a full-time musician. While I am thankful that UT Austin gave me the job that guided me to my musical career. I can't say that I miss it a moment. I love recording music, playing it, podcasting, and getting to know people.
-- Quote of the Week: "Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled through snow." Jeff Valdez.
-- Marrus Art. Last Fall, my friend Marrus, a brilliant fantasy artist, made the funniest sketch for the cat lover who doesn't sleep much. She called it "Furry Sandbag Torture Chamber". I begged her to put something on Cafepress. She finally did. Get your copy now.
-- Ringtones available on iTunes. I was just surfing iTunes and noticed that several songs had Ringtones. So if you're looking for any. Check it out.
-- CD of the Week: Irish to the Core by The Wolfe Tones. This is the album that started all for me. Someone lent me a cassette copy when Andrew and I used to play on the South Mall at UT. I loved. Really quirky voices and fun music. "Rock on Rockall" is one of my favorites. I keep meaning to learn that song. Hmm... Need to work on that.
-- Still working on the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine. I got side track by the next item on this list. But the magazine is still coming together. In fact, I'm transferring all the old CD reviews to one blog, the Free Irish Music Downloads blog. You can now sign up to get email updates. This will be CD reviews and free MP3s as soon as they are posted! It's a cool service from Feedburner. So check it out.
Now the reason for my sidetracking...
-- What Color Is Your Dragon? Folk Music with Delusions of Grandeur. The album is done. I'm sending it off to the printers any day now. W00t! You can listen and download "The Lusty Young Sith" via the MarcSongs Podcast. Different from the pre-sales of other CDs, this one is not yet on sale. Hope to have it out next month.
Also, don't forget...
-- Mark Your Calendar - Cat CD Release Party in Austin and New Orleans. One of the first things I did upon feeling better was to secure some CD release parties for Whiskers in the Jar: Irish Songs for Cat Lovers. The CD is now on CD Baby and iTunes.
- Austin CD Release. Right now, I have an Austin release at the Cactus Cafe on Weds, July 30th. Please note, that this was not the original date reported. But it is the correct date! I really need a LOT of help getting the word out about this gig. It's a benefit for Thundering Paws. So please tell your friends and make sure you head out there for this gig.
- New Orleans CD Release. No sooner had I solidified the Cactus, when my friend Jamie helped me score a CD release in New Orleans at the Saltwater Grill on Sat, July 26 in the afternoon. It benefits the LSPCA. There's also a house concert up in Robert, LA for those who want a more intimate show.
- Please consider posting a review if you own Whiskers in the Jar.
-- Check me out on Myspace, SoundClick, Demand a Show on Eventful, Wikipedia, Facebook, Livejournal, Sonicbids, and DeviantArt. And if you'd like a CD...
